The Great One's Feast
The Great One has returned.
After decades of slumber, Crawling Noodle Beast (no relation to Flying Spaghetti Monster) threatens the world with its seemingly unending hunger.
This time we're serving it a great feast - to hopefully feed it until it goes away.
Then it's gonna be the next generation's problem!
The Great One's Feast is a falling blocks game where overflowing the play area is part of the gameplay.
Made during Falling Block Jam 2026
- Drop randomly chosen pairs of food items; try to group them together by kind
- Once you go over the line, the beast will consume three groups (if they're big enough), starting with the largest one
- The game ends when either A) it can't eat three large enough groups when fed; or B) after feeding, there's still a piece over the line
- Aim for a high score, good luck!
Controls:
- Left, Right: move your pieces
- Up, Down: rotate them
- Space: drop pieces; dismiss level-up screen; restart after game over
- R: quick restart
- Escape: settings
- Q: crash the game lol (normally it quits the game, i just haven't disabled it on web)
On settings screen, keep using all arrow keys to select or modify the options.
There are no controls remapping options, sorry :(

Tips for feeding the beast:
- To ensure your last dropped piece doesn't stay above the line, try to have one obviously largest group that's 100% certain to get eaten
- You don't have to fill the whole area before going over the line, try to prioritize predictable bites and avoid clutter
- If there are several groups of the same size, there's no guarantee which one will be picked by the beast
- All elements are scored the same and there are no bonus points awarded for group size
- Score multiplier grows after unlocking more elements
- Level-up effects are not randomized

Gameplay is great and the vibe is excellent. The music, the visuals, and the premise are all really fun!
